Verona

Marmomak stone exhibition, Verona, Italy, 6-3 Mehr 2024
Why Italy:
Italy, a country in south-central Europe, contains some of the most diverse and spectacular landscapes on earth and is often described as a boot-shaped country. Above its broad mountains are the Alps and the highest points in Italy along the peaks of Monte Rosa in Switzerland and Mont Blanc. Tuscany, south of the Cisalpine region, is perhaps the most well-known region of the country.
Italy's free economy is 65.4%, which ranks the country's economy 57th in the 2022 Economic Index. Italy ranks 33rd among the 45 countries in the European region, and its overall score is lower than the regional average but higher than the global average. Italy's economy slowed from 2017 to 2019, contracted in 2020, and resumed growth in 2021. The free economy of this country has generally improved over the course of five years. With significant jumps in rule of law scores (property rights, judicial effectiveness and government integrity), Italy has registered an overall 2.9 points increase in free economy since 2017. The country is strong in free trade and investment, but its economy is still under pressure from government spending.
Italy has always shown an amazing and rich variety of marbles and stones that have inspired artisans, sculptors and architects throughout history. These materials have stimulated different original and productive cultures, shaping both local identities and global consciousness: an unquestionable example of this endless international success is travertine or Carrara marble, seen as symbols of Italy itself.
The Marmo+mac stone exhibition is now an outstanding meeting platform for international natural stone specialists, where Italy plays a leading role.
